Under the sponsorship of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, His Excellency Deputy Minister of Interior Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Dawood today crowned the winning teams of Absherthon 2025, held under the theme “Innovating for a Safer Society,” in partnership with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), the National Information Center, and Elm Company. The event took place at the Ministry of Interior Staff Club in Riyadh.
His Excellency the Deputy Minister affirmed that the Ministry continues its efforts to support innovation and digital transformation, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, by encouraging national talents to present creative technological solutions and transform them into services that contribute to operational improvement and enhance the experience of Absher’s beneficiaries, including citizens, residents, and visitors.
Dr. Nasser Al-Dawood toured the challenge exhibition and listened to presentations on the winning projects. The ceremony began with many segments included a documentary film highlighting the Absherthon, which aims to encourage innovators and idea owners from the community to contribute to the development of the Ministry’s digital and field services. The initiative enables creativity in digital transformation through the use of modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, augmented and virtual reality, the development of smart algorithms, and the reengineering of processes to improve existing services and create innovative new ones that further accelerate transformation through smart and creative means.
The first-place award went to the idea Zaher, second place to Hazem, third place to “Noqat Al-Fakhr – Dumtum Lana Dukhur”, fourth place to “Miras”, and fifth place to “LOST”, selected from a total of 4141 submitted ideas.
