General Directorate of Passports Unveils New Digital Enhancements at LEAP 2025

As part of the Ministry of Interior’s pavilion at LEAP 2025, the Director General of Passports, Major General Dr. Saleh bin Saad Al-Marba, today announced the launch of a series of digital service enhancements developed to elevate the efficiency and quality of services provided to citizens and residents.
Major General Dr. Al-Marba highlighted that the enhancements include the ability to upload dependent photos for passport issuance or renewal through the “Absher” app, a new service for updating passport information for residents, and a feature that enables residents to view and present their digital Iqama (resident identity) along with its details when requested by relevant authorities within the Kingdom.
He reaffirmed the General Directorate of Passports’ ongoing commitment to delivering advanced digital services and technical solutions through the Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform, “Absher,” in a way that saves time and effort, simplifies procedures, and enhances service quality for all users.
