Over 24 Million Digital Transactions Carried Out via “Absher” Platform in February 2025

The Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform Absher carried out more than 8,521,000 digital transactions in December for citizens, residents, and visitors through both Absher Individuals and Absher Business platforms.
Through Absher Individuals, the number of completed transactions exceeded 6,022,000. The Civil Affairs Agency of the Ministry of Interior performed 84,656 National ID validity checks, 37,962 electronic National ID renewals, 31,110 family member verification certificates, 26,503 transactions through the My Data service, 15,979 through the Enhanced My Data service, 9,282 reissues of lost National ID cards, 5,528 family registry documents, and 3,223 replacements of damaged National ID cards.
Within the General Directorate of Passports, services included the issuance and renewal of 347,495 residency permits, 261,969 exit and re-entry visas, and 79,438 electronic Saudi passports. Additionally, 24,572 passport services were provided for children under 10 years, along with 20,111 extensions of exit and re-entry visas, 12,338 service transfer transactions, 8,718 final exit visa cancellations, 5,186 final exit visa issuances during the trial phase, and 1,067 authorizations to receive domestic workers.
In the Public Security sector, the platform completed 125,162 vehicle repair permit requests, 67,426 driving authorization requests, 61,583 vehicle registration renewals, 47,032 license plate replacements, 29,417 vehicle sales transactions, 9,037 vehicle write-offs for damaged or abandoned vehicles, 5,416 firearm service transactions, 3,957 driver's license renewals, and 3,461 vehicle insurance validity checks.
Additionally, 95,345 document delivery requests were processed via postal services in December. The platform also issued 84,380 Absher reports and responded to 1,957 general fingerprint inquiries.
Through Absher Business, over 2,499,000 transactions were completed. These included 1,316,869 internal and external authorizations, 358,189 residency issuance and renewal transactions, 195,392 traffic violation inquiries, 119,216 exit and re-entry visa issuances, 102,410 vehicle user assignments, 79,555 customs card transfers, and 75,248 service transfer operations. Other activities included 57,152 holds on vehicle ownership transfers, 34,628 criminal record clearance certificates, 31,576 vehicle registration renewals, 25,459 visa extensions, 21,366 vehicle repair permits for establishments, 20,195 visitor driving authorizations, 6,669 final exit visa cancellations, 6,100 resident report requests, 5,934 passport information updates, 4,097 profession modification requests, 3,375 driver's license information inquiries, 2,915 exit and re-entry visa cancellations, 2,469 vehicle information inquiries, 2,270 airgun permit requests, and 1,871 permits for rock-cutting material.
