His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Interior, Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Dawood, visited the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform Absher in Riyadh, where he toured the various departments of the facility and reviewed the progress of operations.
During the visit, His Excellency received a briefing on the Operations Monitoring Center, the platform’s efforts, and the range of services provided to citizens, residents, and visitors. He was also introduced to the platform’s work mechanisms, which utilize the latest technologies to support the Ministry’s digital transformation goals. In addition, a presentation was given on the “Absherathon” initiative, highlighting its key metrics and its impact in embracing creative and innovative ideas.
The visit was attended by His Highness Prince Dr. Bandar bin Abdullah bin Mashari, Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs; His Excellency Dr. Essam bin Abdullah Al-Waqit, Director of the National Information Center; His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Battal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior; Major General Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Arowan, Director General of the Minister’s Office for Studies and Research; Engineer Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Kathiri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Security Capabilities; and Major General Dr. Saleh bin Saad Al-Murabba, Director General of Passports and Supervisor of the Civil Affairs Agency.
Absher platform plays an active role in advancing e-Government and enabling digital transformation across the Kingdom. It contributes to enhancing the quality of public services by streamlining government procedures and offering them digitally, with the aim of increasing beneficiary satisfaction and making services more accessible and efficient.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Interior has issued over 28 million unified digital identities through Absher platform, as part of its ongoing efforts in digital transformation. The platform currently offers more than 460 services across its three portals: Absher Individuals, Absher Business, and Absher Government.
